Review: Voltas ac is always good . service centre is always cooperative. - The packaging of the product was very good .it was from the latest batch , April 2025,. there was no dent no damage to both odu and idu. The cooling is awesome.it is working silently. There was a slight hiccup with installation which was resolved by customer care in a jiffy. The voltas service centre is some two kilometres from our house they came immediately and installed it.the charge was 1500rs and for stand ,825including installing it. The already existing stand was some what rusted so it was i who insisted in changing it .Every thing was good 👍. It is absolute value for money as i got in festival discount. Now what I am going to write has nothing to do with desertcart not the sevice centre .the chief technician some how convinced me with this and that and took away my old voltas 1.5ton ac which was in workable condition for 2.5thousand. But of course the installation was very good. Performance of ac is good I bought voltas because the old ac which i had was also voltas and the service centre would attend a complaint on the same day.
Review: Do not recommend - stay far away. Spend a little extra and stick with Koreans or Japanese - Worst product ever. 1. This is not a 1.5 ton ac. Its rated capacity is 4800 Watts or 1.36 ton ac. 2. There is no information about this product on Voltas product website to understand how to use the operations correctly 3. The AC severly shortcylces in a large room, not sure why - it reads the temperature wrong, maybe its low quality temperature sensor in the system Now coming to the quality part: 1. Of the two units I purchased 1 developed a hissing and swooshing noise within 1 month. 2. The engineer who visited from their service center for the complaint, refused to try re-installing (given that was the best course of action) citing another engineer had installed it first, not clear why would that be the case 3. The initial technician (Named Parvez in MG road Gurgaon - very helpful) who had installed the AC, promptly came the next day to reinstall the AC and did so however the sound got worse 4. On further inspection he mentioned that the IDU is likely faulty as the noise is coming from the IDU 5. The next day I must have called these guys over 15 times just to get an acknowledgement of a visit and then finally a technician was assigned, to my horror the same person who refused to re-install the AC, only to learn that he would come again and try to reinstall the AC yet again! There need to be better SOPs. I wonder how this company has survived so long. I am sorry to say will probably never buy their ACs again. Just a bad experience altogether. Incrementally even the government here should be held responsible that they are unable to keep a check on what kind of products are being sold in the market. It is just a bad overall experience. Do not recommend - not just because of the quality of the product but also its after sales service and lack of basic SOPs on when to engage senior technicians/engineers. At the same time I would recommend desertcart to not list such products on their website.
