The price difference at this time is significant..** A: I got the Platinum Elite for Christmas. One of my wheels was damaged during the second international trip. We contacted Travelpro about any warranty and were told that we would have to ship the suitcase to one of their approved repair centers to have it evaluated to determine if it would be covered under warranty. Its actually cheaper to buy a replacement wheel than to ship the luggage to them. This is the last piece that I would "buy" from them due their warranty process. **Q: Will this bag fit as carryon in US? It’s listed as 23.5” x 14.5” which is above the 22”x14” limit.** A: I’ve measured the bag myself, and the only area of concern is that it’s 22.5” not the 22” max. It’s really up the the airliner agents to be honest, but I haven’t had a problem with AA. **Q: On paper, this bag exceeds published international carry-on limits (air france, 21.7x13.8x9.9). has anyone gotten it aboard int’l flights?** A: The 19" one is compliant for international flights.21.75 x 15.75 x 7.75 **Q: Is this made in China?** A: Made in Thailand. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fine product that will serve you well *by on Reviewed in the United States 23 January 2026* I am a fan of Travelpro products for their durability and performance. This version has an outstanding quality build and peforms well. Sizing fits overhead compartments with ease - an important factor with the density of travelers on each aircraft. There is not a tremendous amount of room, but I am guilty of overpacking. I use as my backup in case the main bag doesn't make it. That has happened to me more often than I would like. The bag handles well and the casing material is superior. Strongly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent travel companion. *by on Reviewed in the United States 18 October 2018* This bag has lots of room, is very light, and is very well built. It has very high quality wheels and rolls with ease. The handle has two positions so if you are short or tall you can adjust it to one of the two positions that suit you best. Great travel bag with lots of compartments, I love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Purposeful purchase *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 11 December 2023* I like the compactness of the luggage but the size shown on the various sizes was inadequate. Hope it describe better as a carry-on or checked in luggage. ## Frequently Bought Together - Travelpro Platinum Elite Softside Expandable Carry on Luggage, 8 Wheel Spinner Suitcase, USB Port, Laptop and Tablet Sleeves, Men and Women, True Navy Blue, Carry On 20-Inch - Silicone Luggage Tag with Name ID Card Perfect to Quickly Spot Luggage Suitcase --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/617912379-travelpro-platinum-elite-softside-expandable-spinner-wheel-luggage-true-navy](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/617912379-travelpro-platinum-elite-softside-expandable-spinner-wheel-luggage-true-navy) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
