Review: The PERFECT cane, period! - Had a little accident and broke several bones in my left foot. According to the doc, a cane will be a good idea even after the bones heal. So I decided if I'm gonna be on the gimpy side, I'm at least going to do it with style. Though the price of this cane was considerably higher than most, I can now attest that -- da-yum -- it was SO worth it! The craftsmanship is evident from the moment you take the cane from the carefully-packed box. In a word, it is beautiful! It feels super-solid in the hand and the weight, while not exactly "heavy," is definitely substantial; it inspires confidence. Also, I'm not a violent guy, but this thing would work about as well as a baseball bat with regard to self-defense. It's that formidable. The handle is meticulously crafted and fits my hand like I was born with it there. The finish is impeccable and the brass band is a thing of beauty. Seriously, everything about this cane just screams quality and brilliant design. I bought a slightly longer one than I thought I might need and cut it down to size (removing about an inch) with a miter box saw. The rubber foot was a tiny bit difficult to remove, but that has to be the case in order to keep it in place during heavy usage. It's also nice that they sent along a second rubber foot and a wrist strap, though I'm not using that at the moment. I got the deep cherry red finish on mine and it looks GREAT. I've been using mine for the past week or two and can attest that it works about as well as one could hope for. It feels like a natural extension of my arm and provides all the support I'll (hopefully) ever need. If you're looking for the best cane for any money, look no further. You're not going to find anything better. This thing is essentially perfect, and that's not a word I use often.
Review: One of my best purchases in 2025 - I purchased this cane some time ago in anticipation of needing them following knee replacement surgery. This truly turned into one of the best purchases I’ve made in 2025. The handle is so comfortable! It easily supports my weight when walking and does not flex. If you purchase these specifically to assist your walking, PURCHASE THE LARGER FOOT accessory to go along with it. It is wonderful. While I’m recovering from knee surgery, I feel very confident in this cane…being solid hardwood, I don’t have any fears at all of it breaking. The cane design is simple, but very elegant.. feels fashionable and the finish is lovely. It is extremely important you get the correct size, though, so follow their measurement instructions on the purchase page. I did. It was a perfect fit. I definitely recommend this cane to anyone who wants something that is supportive and more fashionable than a standard cane. You won’t regret the purchase. But do keep in mind that this cane is solid wood, so if you plan to use this cane for a long period of time and expect to use it in inclement weather or wet conditions often, you might want to consider metal or carbon fiber instead.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do I choose the right size?**
A: Use the height/size chart in the product images. As a simple guide - measure your old cane, if you had one. When standing naturally (wearing shoes), the handle should sit around wrist level with your arm relaxed at your side. Or ask your therapist.

**Q: Is a wooden cane as strong as a metal one? How much weight can they support?**
A: Yes, and often even more reliable. Asterom canes are crafted from solid hardwood and reinforced with a steel bolt. They are tested to support up to 400 lbs (180 kg), providing rock-solid stability without the "rattling" sound of hollow metal tubes.

**Q: Is the handle comfortable for daily use?**
A: Absolutely. Our patented handles are hand-carved to follow the natural contours of the human palm. Unlike thin plastic grips, our wide wooden handles distribute pressure evenly, reducing strain on your wrist and finger joints during long walks.

**Q: Is this cane compatible with a wide (quad, large) cane tip? What about spare cane tips?**
A: Yes, you can replace the standard tip with any other with an inner diameter of 7/8", including a wide tip or quad tips. A free spare standard tip is included in the box. Asterom Canes also sells spare wide, standard cane tips and wrist straps.

**Q: Where are Asterom Canes made? Can I trust this brand?**
A: Canes are handcrafted in a family workshop in Ukraine and sold exclusively by Asterom LLC, Florida. With 10,000+ positive reviews and 150,000+ canes sold since 2016, Asterom is a brand people choose for quality, craftsmanship, and reliable support.
