Review: It can get loud - Although I stream most all of my music, my wife still likes the CD's better. She wanted the stereo that quit working replaced as a Christmas gift. I looked at a lot of different styles and settled on this one. She has it out in our garage, so most anything would probably sound loud, but this gets loud enough carry the sound outside just on normal volume. She plays it daily and so far has served her purpose. I doubt that she has tried the blu tooth, but she loves the remote control so she can pause or turn it down anywhere she is

It has a top loading CD player and the controls are up front for it. It is so easy to see the button even with the low light for which button to press for on, pause, stop, and repeat and so on for this CD player. They made the letterings in perfect size. It has decent sound for the tunes. It has a built in handle to carry it around indoors or outdoors and AC/DC powered also. It also has AM/FM radio on it too and radio reception on FM is not too bad. Overall, this is a decent looking and decent sounding portable basic boom box that does the job it is supposed to do for the price. The best part of this one is that it is analogue and simple; the digital readout is for the CD, not the Radio. The Radio uses the writing around the knob for tuning, and it is a bit on the sensitive side going from station to station, but then we only use one or two stations. Its lightweight and the speaker are very clear. I would recommend this for the price and quality.

I have been looking for a new one since my old one had died. This one is very nice and does more than my old one. It is the updated version since it can be use with a Bluetooth as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great system but with USB issues

Bought this a month ago hoping it would make it easier to switch between our 500+ Christmas songs and 5,000+ other songs. This is the only unit I could find with a USB port, and Shuffle play option, which works fine. We let it run 24x7. But there are two issues with USB. First, I loaded the Christmas music and noticed it kept stopping after an hour or two. Customer Service said to find the bad songs and rename them something simple with just letters and numbers. That didn't work, so instead I deleted the 6 songs (mostly from foreign CD's). It hasn't crashed in over a week of non-stop playing now. BTW, the bad songs work fine on my PC, phone, and an Mp3 player. Second USB issue is that there are only 3 digits for the song number. So I loaded a few thousand songs on another USB drive to see what would happen when it reached 999. After several attempts, it never recognized more than 714 songs, After that, it either stops playing or returns to the first song, or keeps randomly playing the 714 songs - depending on which playback mode is selected. So I will be using a Bluetooth MP3 player for our other music after Christmas. This also meets our goal of easy transitions between our two song categories. I'm still giving the system 4 stars despite all the extra work I went through because I love the simplicity of the layout and size of the system. Radio and CD work fine, and it sounds good with our previous speakers - as long as we use the Jazz or Classical EQ setting. The other EQ settings have far too much bass, even with the small speakers that come with the system.
