AC models are cost-effective; EC models offer superior energy efficiency and precise speed control—ideal for smart or high-efficiency applications. What is the cut-out size for installing an exhaust fan? 10" model: 10.6" × 10.6", 12" model: 12.3" × 12.3", 14" model: 13.4" × 13.4", 16" model: 16.3" × 16.3". Does the fan require cleaning or maintenance over time? We recommend inspecting and cleaning the blades and grille every 6–12 months to prevent dust buildup. Can it run in reverse to bring in fresh air? Not recommended. These fans are engineered for exhaust only; reverse operation may impair performance. Why does my exhaust fan have 8 mounting holes on the flange, but only 4 screws are included? 8 holes (spaced every 45°) offer more flexible angular adjustment than four holes (spaced every 90°), making it easier to avoid obstacles or align with existing mounting holes. 4 screws are sufficient for a secure installation. ## Features - High-Performance & Multi-Use: This 647CFM exhaust fan works effectively as a wall exhaust fan, garage exhaust fan, attic exhaust fan, chicken coop fan, or greenhouse fan—removing heat and odors from workshops, barns, basements, and sunrooms with quiet, reliable airflow - Durable Shutter Design: Features a 12.6-inch powder-coated steel grille and 10.6"x10.6" automatic louver that seals shut when off, blocking rain and dust—ideal for through-wall or window exhaust fan applications without needing extra covers or ducting - Easy Indoor-Mount Installation: Install entirely from inside your space—simply position the fan with the louvered side facing outdoors, then secure it firmly in place using screws from the interior side, eliminating the need for outdoor scaffolding or complex mounting hardware - Essential Upgrade for Homeowners: A thoughtful, practical choice for dads, handymen, or new homeowners—whether they need an exhaust fan for garage fumes, an attic fan, or reliable ventilation for a chicken coop or greenhouse, this easy-to-install fan solves real problems year-round ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Air Flow Capacity | 647 cfm | | Asin | B0CNTQRML2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #20,159 in Industrial & Scientific (See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific) #2 in HVAC Fans & Circulators | | Blade Material | Aluminum | | Brand Name | HG Power | | Collection Name | Ventilation_Fans | | Color | Black | | Connector Type | Type B | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | AC Motor with Switch | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (644) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Electric Fan Design | Exhaust Fan | | Finish Type | Matte | | Included Components | Cord, Exhaust Fan, Mesh Screen, User Manual | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Installation Type | Indoor Mount | | Item Dimensions D X W X H | 6.69"D x 12.36"W x 12.36"H | | Item Type Name | Exhaust Fan | | Main Power Connector Type | Type B | | Material | Aluminum | | Model Name | Shutter Exhaust Fan | | Model Number | APB25D | | Motor Type | Brushless | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Noise Level | 52 db | | Number Of Blades | 4 | | Number Of Power Levels | 1 | | Number Of Speeds | 3 | | Part Number | APB25D | | Power Source | AC | | Recommended Uses For Product | Cooling | | Room Type | Bathroom, Bedroom, Dining Room, Garage, Attic, Chicken Coop, Shed, Workshop, Home Office, Kitchen, Living Room | | Size | 10 Inch | | Special Features | Water Resistant | | Speed | 1400 rpm | | Style | Modern | | Switch Type | Push Button | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 110 volts | | Wattage | 42 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HG Power - **Color:** Black - **Electric fan design:** Exhaust Fan - **Mounting Type:** Wall Mount - **Power Source:** AC - **Product Dimensions:** 6.69"D x 12.36"W x 12.36"H - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Cooling - **Special Feature:** Water Resistant - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![HG Power 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan, 647CFM Quiet Garage Exhaust Fan with 8 Foot Long ON/OFF Switch Cable for Chicken Coop, Shed, Basement, Gable, Kitchen, Attic Ventilation Use, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Mr-HJC1OL.jpg) ![HG Power 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan, 647CFM Quiet Garage Exhaust Fan with 8 Foot Long ON/OFF Switch Cable for Chicken Coop, Shed, Basement, Gable, Kitchen, Attic Ventilation Use, Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QnkFk0L6L.jpg) ![HG Power 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan, 647CFM Quiet Garage Exhaust Fan with 8 Foot Long ON/OFF Switch Cable for Chicken Coop, Shed, Basement, Gable, Kitchen, Attic Ventilation Use, Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81FXG7eQaML.jpg) ![HG Power 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan, 647CFM Quiet Garage Exhaust Fan with 8 Foot Long ON/OFF Switch Cable for Chicken Coop, Shed, Basement, Gable, Kitchen, Attic Ventilation Use, Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7161ryFv5nL.jpg) ![HG Power 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan, 647CFM Quiet Garage Exhaust Fan with 8 Foot Long ON/OFF Switch Cable for Chicken Coop, Shed, Basement, Gable, Kitchen, Attic Ventilation Use, Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8121wrRlgoL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size, Controller type** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How do I choose between AC and EC motor models?** A: AC models are cost-effective; Works great! *by on Reviewed in the United States July 6, 2026* Great fan. Been in use in my barn for over a year and it works perfect. I have mine on a timer, and it's perfect for removing musty smells and such from the barn. Very easy to install, also has an on-off switch on the cord, but I took mine off. Highly recommend ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great! *by on Reviewed in the United States August 14, 2026* Works as it should. Tried another model with a remote and numerous speeds and it failed on me. This one keeps it simple with a on/off switch. No complaints. Used a timer plug on it. ## Frequently Bought Together - HG Power Upgraded 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan, 647CFM Low Noise Shed Exhaust Fan with Mesh Screen for Basement, Gable, Chicken Coop Ventilation Use, Black - BN-LINK Digital Cooling Thermostat Controller for Cooling Device Circulation Box Fans 40-108F 8.3A 1000W --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/615007986-hg-power-10-inch-shutter-exhaust-fan-647cfm-quiet-garage](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/615007986-hg-power-10-inch-shutter-exhaust-fan-647cfm-quiet-garage) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
