Microwave rechargeable for long-lasting use. Review: Used in my car during winter - I've got an older car (it prefers the term "mature") In the winter it tends to get a bit of internal damp. I used to spend 10 minutes wiping the windscreen inside to get rid of the excessive water. Even worse, in the really cold parts of winter I've had to scrape the outside of the windscreen AND the inside. In the frost my car looks like a snow globe, which then melts in the car and freezes again the following night. However, since I've been using these it's been a lot better. I place them on the dashboard when I'm not in the car and just put them in the foot well when I am. I think you can put them anywhere in the car and have the same result, but I find having them on the dash reminds me they are there. When they need drying out, the blue dot turns pink so you know they are at full capacity. You can put them in your microwave but I just take them in and put them on the radiator. I only use one at a time so while one is drying the other one is in the car. The interior of my car is a lot better now and I haven't had to many problems with a soggy windscreen. You could no doubt use these in other places such as caravans etc They do what they are supposed to so I have no real complaints. Review: Get the largest that fit in the microwave :-) - Got two 1kg ones as these are the largest that will fit in a microwave. In a small car (Ford Fiesta) the one on the front dashboard lasted 2 weeks through rain and cold weather before turning pink (not red). The one in the boot/trunk was still blue, and used to replace the front one when drying that out. The label says 6-12 minutes in a 700W microwave. I gave it 3min sessions (in an 800W micro), then a 2 min rest. 3 times, total 9 mins. Make sure to position them so the microwave turntable can still rotate. It was then hot and steaming, so I gave it two more 3 min sessions (with rests inbetween) on the lowest setting just to let the microwave fan exhaust the moisture that was steaming out. Then left on a radiator for a couple of hours to fully dry out. Having two bags gives you the freedom for this. Don't do things by halves as these are totally re-usable and also can be used around the house if need be. It may not totally clear the inside windscreen on a bad day, but leaves such a thin mist that the normal air blower/heater will remove that in 30secs or so.
