Review: Very capable steamer - Not the first time i have made a purchase from desertcart resale and once again, it doesn't disappoint. Great little steamer for two of us which will replace an older steamer with nothing wrong with it but its just too big for our weekly use. The only concern i had on first use was the size of the water reservoir but it works great but might be something you need to keep an eye on if steaming for an hour. triple stack works well and comes with a rice bowl.

The instructions are very sparse but, fortunately, there are lots of videos online to help you become acquainted with it. Similarly, no timings are given for steaming, so it is necessary to experiment a bit - or buy one of the many steamer cookbooks that are available on desertcart. Apart from these minor niggles, we are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this steamer to anyone who is looking for an easy way to eat healthily.

**Q: Can you fill this while in use**
A: I'm "guessing" you mean "Water-fill"?..... No, there's no "lip" to pour a top-up of water into the base. You'd have to remove all the baskets and top-up the base again. You end up with water dripping all over the place, so you'd need a teatowel laid out nearby. Not to mention you'd risk scalding yourself from all the steam & hot dripping water! Buy one with a top-up lip - much better and safer too!

**Q: can i remove one of the bottoms from a basket to cook a bigger steam pudding.**
A: These all have sealed bases therefore the base cannot be removed.

**Q: What type of plug does this steamer have 2 or 3 prongs?**
A: It’s hard wired into the appliance with a 3 pin uk plug on the other end.

**Q: Is there anyway you can buy replacement pans**
A: For the price you pay I would just buy a new one

Really good and easy to use, lightweight steamer baskets but be mindful of the steam when removing baskets, likewise the hot water left within the base afterwards - allow it to cool before emptying the water out. Definitely keep out of reach of kids and away from the worktop edge, stability is questionable as it’s tall and narrow. Don’t try to move it once it’s in use! We recently had our gas boiler removed and replaced with an Air Source Heat Pump so it seemed pointless paying a gas standing charge for just our cooker rings (ovens are electrical) and our gas fire which we don’t use anyway. I needed a way to cook things that we used to use the gas rings for, this steamer was bought to tied us over until we have a new kitchen in a years time. It is brilliant, easy to use it’s got a lot of power and does steam beautifully and even. You can cook enough for 4 people with Sunday Dinner servings. As an added bonus we can take this camping with us as we have an inverter in our van. Electric hook up. It’s already paid for itself in the 2 months since we had the gas capped off and removed by our supplier and the portable induction job we’ve also bought.
