Review: Quick, easy setup and good quality print/scan output - This Brother multifunction laser printer/scanner was purchased for occasional printing and photo scanning in a residential home environment. Having used numerous printers over the years (going back to the 'buzzing' dot-matrix printers in the early 80's) this one was by far the easiest and quickest to set up (has Wi-Fi, USB and Ethernet options). A quick firmware & software download from Brother got it up and working in about twenty minutes. After several months of use I'm highly satisfied with the print quality (nearly all being text based), print speed, scan quality and scan speed. We don't use the fax feature.

This Brother multifunction laser printer/scanner was purchased for occasional printing and photo scanning in a residential home environment. Having used numerous printers over the years (going back to the 'buzzing' dot-matrix printers in the early 80's) this one was by far the easiest and quickest to set up (has Wi-Fi, USB and Ethernet options). A quick firmware & software download from Brother got it up and working in about twenty minutes. After several months of use I'm highly satisfied with the print quality (nearly all being text based), print speed, scan quality and scan speed. We don't use the fax feature.

The easiest set up and operation ever. Avoided all of the App crap and used a cat6 cable. It was recognized immediately on my network. The set up comprised of connecting the cable and setting date/time…..voila, DONE! I retired another Brother that worked well for 16 years and this one is even better!
