When you are not running your generator on natural gas, you also have the option of operating it on gasoline or propane. The ability to operate your generator on three types of fuel out of the box makes this one of the most versatile generators on the market. The Fuel Select dial allows you to safely select gasoline, propane (LPG), or natural gas (NG) as your fuel source. Using natural gas, the generator produces 6875 starting watts and 5500 running watts. To connect this generator to your home’s natural gas source, this generator includes a 25-foot NG hose kit, which includes a female quick connect end, a female flare fitting end and an NPT male adapter. Using gasoline, the generator produces 8125 starting watts and 6500 running watts, and will run for 12 hours at 50% load when the 8.5-gallon fuel tank is full. When using a 20-pound propane tank, it produces 7500 starting watts and 6000 running watts, and will run for 6.5 hours at 50% load. A 6-foot propane hose with a built-in regulator is included. With a 1.2-quart oil capacity, this unit has a low oil shut-off switch and includes engine oil – all you need is fuel! Easily monitor power output and track maintenance intervals with Intelligauge, which allows you to keep track of voltage, frequency, session run time, and total run time to easily monitor output and track maintenance intervals. This generator has a noise level of 74 dBA from 23 feet, which is a bit louder than a vacuum. The covered outlets include a 120/240V 27A locking outlet (L14-30R) and two 120V 20A GFCI protected household duplex outlets (5-20R).Buy this EPA certified generator with confidence – Champion Support and our nationwide network of service centers will back up your purchase with a 3-year limited warranty and FREE lifetime technical support.CO Shield technology monitors the accumulation of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas produced by engine exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield detects unsafe elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine. CO Shield is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm or for safe operation. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors, far away from occupied buildings with engine exhaust pointed away from people and buildings. ## Features - Your 6500-watt portable generator operates on natural gas, propane, or gasoline, plus natural gas and propane hoses are included so the unit is ready to run on any fuel right out of the box - Power up the 389cc Champion engine with the handy rocker switch - Track voltage, frequency, session run time, and total run time to monitor output and track maintenance intervals, plus features CO Shield carbon monoxide auto shutoff system - Gasoline: 8125 starting watts and 6500 running watts, propane: 7500 starting watts and 6000 running watts, natural gas: 6875 starting watts and 5500 running watts and engine oil is included - Includes 3-year limited warranty with FREE lifetime technical support from dedicated experts ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BN2HS341 | | Additional Features | Electric Start | | Best Sellers Rank | #79,247 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #269 in Outdoor Generators | | Brand | Champion Power Equipment | | Brand Name | Champion Power Equipment | | Color | CO Shield and Electric Start | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 168 Reviews | | Engine Displacement | 389 cubic centimeters | | Engine Type | 4 Stroke | | Frequency | 60 hertz | | Fuel Type | Natural Gas | | Ignition System Type | electric start | | Included Components | Engine Oil, Propane (LPG) Hose, Oil Funnel, Natural Gas Hose with NPT Adapter, Wheel Kit | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 28.7"L x 27.5"W x 26.1"H | | Item Highlight | Gas Propane & Natural Gas Powered, Electric Start, LPG & NG Hoses, 6500 Running Watts, RV Ready, Wheels, Free 3-Year Warranty | | Item Type Name | Generator | | Item Weight | 197 pounds | | Manufacturer | Champion Power Equipment | | Manufacturer Part Number | 201169 | | Material Type | Metal, Plastic | | Model Name | 8125/6500-Watt Tri-Fuel Portable Generator | | Model Number | 201169 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Output Wattage | 8125 | | Power Source | Natural Gas | | Recommended Uses For Product | Residential | | Running Wattage | 6500 watts | | Runtime | 6 hours | | Starting Wattage | 8125 watts | | Tank Volume | 8.5 gallons | | Total Power Outlets | 3 | | UPC | 817198025865 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 240 volts | | Warranty Description | 3 Year Limited Warranty | | Wattage | 8125 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Champion Power Equipment - **Fuel Type:** Natural Gas - **Included Components:** Engine Oil, Propane (LPG) Hose, Oil Funnel, Natural Gas Hose with NPT Adapter, Wheel Kit - **Item Weight:** 197 pounds - **Output Wattage:** 8125 - **Power Source:** Natural Gas - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Residential - **Special Feature:** Electric Start - **Voltage:** 240 volts - **Wattage:** 8125 watts ## Images ![Champion 8125-Watt Electric Start Tri Fuel Portable Generator - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ki2KgT8eL.jpg) ![Champion 8125-Watt Electric Start Tri Fuel Portable Generator - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81MT3stqz7L.jpg) ![Champion 8125-Watt Electric Start Tri Fuel Portable Generator - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/812PyqpbH9L.jpg) ![Champion 8125-Watt Electric Start Tri Fuel Portable Generator - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Chi7xOeDL.jpg) ![Champion 8125-Watt Electric Start Tri Fuel Portable Generator - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710eDYyV9hL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Set** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Champion Power Equipment 8125-Watt Electric Start Tri-Fuel Portable Generator with CO Shield - Champion Power Equipment Weather-Resistant Storage Cover for 4800-11,500-Watt Portable Generators - Champion Power Equipment 25-Foot 30-Amp 125/250-Volt Fan-Style Generator Extension Cord (L14-30P to four 5-20R) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/600686471-champion-8125-watt-electric-start-tri-fuel-portable-generator](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/600686471-champion-8125-watt-electric-start-tri-fuel-portable-generator) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
