Refuse to buy from people like this. **Q: What's the difference between this unit and the unifi 6 ubiquiti sells on their website for $99? (i ask because amzn is generally lower than msrp)** A: Likely identical, however, the unit sold directly by Ubiquiti: 1. Is the correct price ($99) 2. Has a warranty. I'm pretty sure the scalpers on here are not authorized resellers, and if I'm not mistaken, that means the Ubiquiti warranty is void. 3. Is in short supply, has been "sold out" more often than not since release. Hence, scalpers emerge, buy as many as they can when they briefly come into stock, and sell on Amazon for ~ 120% profit. My advise: go on the Ubiquiti website and sign up for a "back in stock email alert". You'll be waiting, possibly weeks, but better than supporting these shameless profiteers. **Q: Does this have to be ceiling mounted? or can it be mounted on a table etc. in a home?** A: Whatever you think would be your best coverage.
