Review: Torch Bright Enough to Light up a Whole Room - Bought this makita torch to replace another older torch I had that stopped working. Using this torch helped massively while we renovated our house. It would light up whole rooms allowing a sparky to get in and work with the mains power off. It was used for under the house as well. Proving great light to where our boiler is. The 3 functions are good and easy to use, allowing for more direct focus of the light to a certain area. The torch is lightweight so easy to carry and has a sturdy hook for hanging the light onto something to keep your hands free for working. I would definitely buy this again.

**Q: Are both of these LED or is one of them fluorescent**
A: Yes. The Makita Torch DML806 and the DML801 are both LED torches

**Q: Will a bl1815g 18 v 24wh 1.5ah battery fit**
A: Hi, The battery I use is a Makita BL1830 18 volt lithium ion 3.0AH LXT.  This battery works perfectly with the LXT, I’m not sure the one you mention would.

**Q: Does this have a USB charging port to charge phones etc?**
A: No

**Q: Any idea how long the light would last with a given capacaity battery, say 4.0Ah?**
A: It all depends on the battery life it self, my 5 amps last 6 hours - 8 hours. But this torch has 3 different modes I put it on the all round one ( the first click )
