I don't know what more to say. It didn't require any out of box firmware rewrites, just an update to make my sensibilities feel better, and I did strap a 40mm fan to the heatsink since it's sitting in a standard tower case rather than a noisy rack box. Review: Broken Heatsink Mounting Screw - I opened the package to find that the heatsink was only partially mounted. I found the second retention mount in the box. It looks to be broken. ## Features - IT Mode - High and low bracket - 12Gb/S Data Transfer Rate - SAS3008 Controller - ZFS FreeNAS unRAID ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CFRKNJXL | | Best Sellers Rank | 153,012 in Computers & Accessories ( See Top 100 in Computers & Accessories ) 90 in RAID Controllers | | Brand | SXTAIGOOD | | Brand Name | SXTAIGOOD | | Colour | Green | | Compatible Devices | [VARIOUS_STORAGE_DEVICES] | | Compatible devices | [VARIOUS_STORAGE_DEVICES] | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 23 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Weight | 0.3 Kilograms | | Item weight | 0.3 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | SXTAIGOOD | | Material | Metal | | Model Number | 9300-8I | | Mounting Type | Rack Mount | | Mounting type | Rack Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | UPC | 749640720458 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SXTAIGOOD - **Colour:** Green - **Compatible devices:** [VARIOUS_STORAGE_DEVICES] - **Item weight:** 0.3 Kilograms - **Material:** Metal ## Images ![9300-8I SAS3008 12Gbps SATA/SAS 8-Port HBA IT Mode ZFS FreeNAS unRAID+2*SFF-8643 SATA Cable - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81gLIxmlopL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flawless performance in prod so far *by G***N on 5 August 2025* I've had this in production (home lab/NAS) for ~6mo and it's been chugging along in proXmoX and TrueNAS with zero issues. I don't know what more to say. It didn't require any out of box firmware rewrites, just an update to make my sensibilities feel better, and I did strap a 40mm fan to the heatsink since it's sitting in a standard tower case rather than a noisy rack box. ### ⭐ Broken Heatsink Mounting Screw *by J***H on 9 February 2026* I opened the package to find that the heatsink was only partially mounted. I found the second retention mount in the box. It looks to be broken. ### ⭐ Didn't work - firmware seems to be corrupt *by N***K on 4 September 2024* Not sure why, but this card doesn't illuminate. BIOS takes very long to post, I hear the drive spinning up then shutting off immediately. Looks like the firmware is corrupt. Returned it. ## Frequently Bought Together - SXTAIGOOD 9300-8I SAS3008 12Gbps SATA/SAS 8-Port HBA IT Mode ZFS FreeNAS unRAID+2*SFF-8643 SATA Cable - CableDeconn SFF-8643 Internal Mini SAS HD to (4) 29pin SFF-8482 connectors with SAS 15pin Power Port 12GB/S Cable (1M) (H0204) - Cable Matters 2-Pack 15 Pin SATA to 4 SATA Power Splitter Cable - 18 Inches --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/592182123-9300-8i-sas3008-12gbps-sata-sas-8-port-hba-it](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/592182123-9300-8i-sas3008-12gbps-sata-sas-8-port-hba-it) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
