Review: Works as advertised - I bought the replacement key from McGard, but it would not work even though the codes matched and the pattern looked good. I think the tire shop may have used an impact wrench on the locking lugs and bent them a bit. I tried this tool and was able to get all four locks off. Make sure to tap the socket down fully on the locking lug with a sledge hammer, then use a breaker bar to remove the lug. You can use the supplied pin with a vice and a sledgehammer to remove. I wish I would have bought this kit first. I think it was even cheaper than the key replacement that didn’t work anyway.

I bought the replacement key from McGard, but it would not work even though the codes matched and the pattern looked good.
