The plastic is beyond a doubt way better than that of other brands. I had a pair on my A type of pop up from 97 to now and th they were subjected to winds of better than 100 mph without any signs of damage. When I took them off they cleaned up as good as new and installed on the new camper. I've installed them on my new camper and they are still doing a great job of keeping the vents protected from water, wind, sun and even a massive hail storm. Although one of the two was punched through the other one is still doing good. This is definitely a great investment.
