Review: very good work from NZXT - - Built quality and packaging is very good , except minor imperfections in the housing ( the DC socket is slightly misaligned with the outer frame ) not uncommon, but works fine. - Maybe some minor popping that happens randomly with nothing playing not sure if it’s just dust in aux or some kinda electrical issue, kinda rare too - Idle noise is as good as it gets for an active speaker , nice work. - it has a very strong and clear sound , sometimes windows issue occurs ( that reduce the signal from PC I guess ) thus reducing the sound but after uninstalling the driver and restarting the PC , it resolves it self , kinda weird but it’s what it’s.
Review: Unreliable, defective product - I don't leave negative reviews, but this was a bridge too far. One speaker stopped working after a month of use. I expect it was poorly made, and the vibration of the speaker made something disconnect. Still under warranty, but only by NZXT, and finally I navigated my way to a person (auto phone wanted an order number, but did not recognize an desertcart order number) and NZXT's system dropped the call. He did call me back, said he'd be sending me info about a replacement or refund in a day or so. No email. After a few weeks, I called in again. Apparently the emails were sent internally, and I never got them. Now there's no replacement, refund only, and they must process the return before I get a refund. And no mailing label for the return without the paypal acct. I haven't used paypal in the last 20 years, and I've already spent more time on these defective speakers then I paid for them. I'm done. They can keep the money. It's not worth the stress. Buy from another company, unless you want to hate your life.

I don't leave negative reviews, but this was a bridge too far. One speaker stopped working after a month of use. I expect it was poorly made, and the vibration of the speaker made something disconnect. Still under warranty, but only by NZXT, and finally I navigated my way to a person (auto phone wanted an order number, but did not recognize an Amazon order number) and NZXT's system dropped the call. He did call me back, said he'd be sending me info about a replacement or refund in a day or so. No email. After a few weeks, I called in again. Apparently the emails were sent internally, and I never got them. Now there's no replacement, refund only, and they must process the return before I get a refund. And no mailing label for the return without the paypal acct. I haven't used paypal in the last 20 years, and I've already spent more time on these defective speakers then I paid for them. I'm done. They can keep the money. It's not worth the stress. Buy from another company, unless you want to hate your life.

I bought these for use with my desktop PC and have them connected via 3.5mm audio jack. The sound reproduction is a huge upgrade from my $14 usb speakers. They get pretty loud and could probably fill a typically size living room with no problem. I like the option to add a subwoofer if I want extra bass. That is an upgrade I may get in the future, but they work perfectly for what I'm using them for now.
