We save you a step! Our coir is pre-blended with natural, plant-based food to give your vegetables, herbs, and seedlings a healthy start. No synthetic chemicals, no harsh salts—just pure, organic goodness. - TRIPLE-WASHED FOR HEALTHY ROOTS We wash our coconut fiber three times with fresh, clean water before it ever reaches your door. This removes natural ocean salts, leaving a very low salt level (Low EC) so your tender plant roots stay completely safe from chemical burn and stress. - CLEAN, SCREENED & FLUFFY TEXTURE No one likes finding rocks, clumps, or dust in their soil. We carefully screen our coir to ensure you get a pure, premium, and airy texture. This fluffy environment allows plant roots to breathe, spread out easily, and grow stronger. - ACTS LIKE A SPONGE FOR YOUR PLANTS Our coir has a naturally high Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). In everyday words, it acts like a giant, smart sponge. It grabs onto water and natural nutrients, holding them tight, and feeds your plants exactly when they are thirsty or hungry, protecting them from overwatering. - HUGE VALUE: EXPANDS TO 80 QUARTS IN 15 MINUTES It looks small in the package, but it grows! Just add warm water, wait about 10 -15 minutes, and watch this heavy-duty 10 lb block fluff up into 80 quarts of premium potting soil. It is the perfect, versatile growing medium for filling outdoor raised garden beds, indoor houseplants, seed starting trays, microgreens, flower boxes, hydroponic gardens, and Lawn & Landscaping! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CLYVTZT3 | | Best Sellers Rank | #13,075 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #186 in Garden Soil | | Brand Name | Gro-Med | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (1,247) | | Item Highlight | OMRI listed triple washed organic peat free potting mix and seed starter for indoor and outdoor plants and hydroponics | | Item Type Name | GM Nutrient Coco Coir Block | | Item Weight | 10 pounds | | Manufacturer | Vaighai Agro | | Manufacturer Part Number | V100011CB | | Model Number | GM201CB | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Style Name | Coco Block, Potting Mix, Planting Media, Garden Soil, Seed Starting Soil | | UPC | 850048303270 | | Unit Count | 2560 Fluid Ounces | | Volume | 75.71 cubic feet | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Gro-Med - **Item Weight:** 10 pounds - **Style:** Coco Block, Potting Mix, Planting Media, Garden Soil, Seed Starting Soil - **UPC:** 850048303270 ## Images ![Gro-Med Organic Coco Coir Block Enriched with Plant Food Potting Soil 11 lb - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/912JMCs-BrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gro-Med Coco Coir Block - 10lb, Coir Fiber Brick Enriched NPK Expands Upto 80 Quarts - Organic Potting Soil for Flowers, Herbs, Low EC Planting - Growing Medium for Gardening - Seed Starter Soil - Burpee Organic Horticultural Add to Potting Soil | Ideal for Seed Starting, Water Retention and Plant Propagation | 100% Natural | 8 Quart, 1-Pack, Vermiculite (8qt) - 10QT Horticultural Perlite Bulk, Organic Perlite for Plants, Course Perlite for Gardening, for Plants Indoor, for Houseplants, to Promotes Soil Root Growth, and Water Drainage and Plant Growth(3-6mm) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/588327703-gro-med-organic-coco-coir-block-enriched-with-plant-food](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/588327703-gro-med-organic-coco-coir-block-enriched-with-plant-food) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
