Saw youtube videos from 3yrs ago complaining about connection issues and firmware updates. Mine connects fine so far, and I just went with the firmware it already has, as it works amazing as is. I just use it to practice out in my yard and the sound is perfect for that. Do not expect hi fi. Put it on a 'Hendrix' setting and it sounded better than what I get out of my amps-as I just don't get involved with pedal or amp tweeking-I've just set them and play as is as their intricacies just don't interest me. I want to spend time playing. This thing though added that slap back or momentary echo after hitting a chord and was just...perfect. It was a lo fi mini version, so SOUND is not better than my amps, but the vibe was just so fun and a surprise from this little thing. Glad I got it. So far, so easy. UPdate; 9/26. I finally started using this with headphones. So much for calling this lo fi. With your headphones on, and picking a good pre-set, just amazing sound. I'm addicted. I can play in the yard and sound like I have a stack of Marshalls making the trees sway...and no one hears a thing, which is just what I want. Highly recommend this. Review: Unbeatable value - I just received my spark go and was truly impressed. The sound quality is great for such a small device. The amp is not overly loud but the volume is plenty for house practice and on the road practice. The tones are great and there is a multitude of amps and effects to shape the sound your trying to achieve. The app is pretty simple to use comes with tons of features like tuner, metronome, and lots of varied backing tracks to practice along with. The amp also functions extremely well as a portable Bluetooth speaker that you can play music through. Battery life is great and charges just like a phone. This will fit inside virtually any guitar case/gig bag and you have an extremely portable amp that has all the tones and effects of much more expensive amps in a form factor that you can take with you anywhere. I own a lot of music gear but this device is so feature laden and versatile for the money that there’s hardly any level of musician that would not benefit from owning one of these devices. There’s nothing in this devices price range that comes close to having all these features. Heck, most decent Bluetooth speakers aren’t this cheap and this thing functions as a fully featured amp modeler that can project great sound quality or be used with headphones! ## Features - Spark GO features boundary-pushing computational audio that creates full, detailed tone and can fill an entire room with stunning sound. - Stocked with 33 amps and 43 effects, create your own custom preset or download 50,000+ tones from the ToneCloud community. - Search for your favorite songs and the Auto Chords feature will analyze and display chords for you – all in real-time. - Create your own virtual band with Smart Jam – an AI powered bandmate that listens and learns your playing style and jams along with you. - Jam, play and listen to music all day with a USB-C rechargeable battery that lasts up to 8 hours. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CMXMWJ6N | | Amplifier Type | Digital Modeling | | Best Sellers Rank | #869 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #2 in Acoustic Guitar Amplifiers | | Brand | Positive Grid | | Built-In Media | Removable Protective Sleeve, Reversible Duo-Tone Strap, Spark GO Amplifier, USB-C Cable, Woven Grille | | Color | Pearl | | Compatible Devices | Guitar, Headphone, Smartphone | | Connector Type | USB Type C | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 4,497 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Stainless Steel | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00855316004835 | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 4.9"D x 3.3"W x 1.7"H | | Item Highlight | Ultra-portable amp & Bluetooth speaker in one. 33 amps, 43 effects, 100k+ tones, Spark AI, Smart Jam, up to 8-hr battery. | | Item Weight | 1.4 pounds | | Manufacturer | Positive Grid | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Mfr Part Number | 855316004835 | | Model Name | Spark GO | | Model Number | 855316004835 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Output Channel Quantity | 1 | | Output Wattage | 5 watts | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Dimensions | 4.9"D x 3.3"W x 1.7"H | | Speaker Size | 10.16 centimeters | | UPC | 855316004835 | | Warranty Description | Positive Grid warrants that your new Positive Grid product, when purchased at an authorized Positive Grid retailer or reseller, shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of One (1) Year from the original date of purchase. Amazing sound quality, battery life, mixer options. *by K***E on April 13, 2026* I have a travel guitar that, I used to use a lot but the honey tone amp ate batteries, the set up breakdown time was annoying and the sound quantity disappointing, so I mostly stopped using it. I ordered this amp with low expectations but after playing with it I couldn’t wait to endorse it: I love this amp! Great sound, great build quality nice and compact. The app has one common feature I don’t Ike but is very powerful. Feature I don’t like: different amps and mixers are skeuomorphic forcing you to interact with pictures of physical Amps. Feature I love: you can play a track and have the app lift the guitar settings an apply them to your guitar. Volume is surprisingly strong and clean and distortion free. By far the best electric guitar accessory I’ve gotten in years. One physical complaint. I wish there was a way to have a rigid connection the the guitar. I bought a male male amp adapter hoping I can attach the amp right to the amp port (although this will face the speaker towards me rather than out). Ps - also doubles as a high quality Bluetooth speaker. ## Frequently Bought Together - Positive Grid Spark GO 5W Ultra-Portable Smart Guitar Amp, Headphone Amp & Bluetooth Speaker with Smart App for Electric Guitar, Acoustic or Bass – Pearl - Positive Grid Spark Link Wireless Guitar System for Electric, Acoustic, Bass & More - Positive Grid Spark GO Official Carry Case --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/585740169-spark-go-5w-ultra-portable-smart-amp-and-speaker-pearl](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/585740169-spark-go-5w-ultra-portable-smart-amp-and-speaker-pearl) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
