Insert soft contact lenses by focusing on the CENTER hole or contact lens on the wand. Do not look up as the curvature of the eye is not the same. Once you gain confidence you will insert with ease. During insertion you can Twist the OptiWand slightly after it touches the eye to help release the soft lens. Remove soft contact lenses by PINCHING them with OptiWand like most do currently with their fingers. Also insert larger lenses and some hybrids. It is not a full closed cup so it will not remove hard or sclera lenses. Old habits of looking up or down will make this impossible to use. . **Q: Sometimes after rubbing my closed eye a soft contact lens folds and gets lost on the side of my eye socket.  Will this help locate and remove it?**
A: It may help to push it but it works best when the lens is centered in order to remove it.  When they fold over it is in a tight area of the eye cavity which might be impossible to get the end of the wand enough lens to pinch.  The Optiwand pincher has an end which is slightly larger that may work better.  If you cannot feel where it is you should contact your optometrist for assistance in removing it

**Q: Is it made of plastic or silicone?**
A: Silicone rubber. Soft and pliable to help pinch lenses out

**Q: Is this device hollow and does it have a suction to hold it in place for sclera insertion?**
A: Yes it is hollow.  Clients can stand it up on a table and place lens into the U shaped or split end up where it will hold the lens while you fill fluids like in the main image for the OptiWand.  Then you can lower down with eyes wide open to insert while holding the tube.   Our OptiWand Pincher is longer and is identical to use which some prefer as well.
