Recently encountered some issues for my clients, several of the LGA 1151 I build across several motherboard brands are pretty picky on the different brands of RAM I used. I've tried for LGA 1151 Corsair, G.Skill, Geil, Kingston..etc. Some boards like some brands and some do not, to make my troubleshooting even harder they were "mostly" stable, until after 4-8 hours of use... my clients told me they have random blue-screens, re-boots then fine and issues came up again. I have tried almost every way to isolate the issue, on-board graphics, default & latest bios, swap and monitor... finally I found out the similarity of this issues. Not the same for X99, X99 it was good.I gave this Crucial a try due to the rave reviews about excellent compatibility and price. I am glad I did ! Not to say other brands aren't good, however, nothing beats stability vs. speed when you're getting important work done. This is my go-to choice for all LGA 1151 builds, until Intel's next chip. I got two sticks of fully-functional 4GB RAM. There's nothing fancy with this memory; no RGB, no gaudy heat spreaders and modest speed and timings. But, it gets the job done and that's all I needed from it. This RAM went into a very inexpensive Skylake Pentium build and it meets my expectations.
