It has always been very difficult to make the edges of the circles neat and keep them round. This has been the perfect solution. Quite easy to install, with a mallet and a piece of wood to 'bash' them down level with the grass {making grass cutting easy, as the mower should glide over the metal rings. I would imagine it would be more difficult to install in the summer when the ground is dry and hard, but this time of year (autumn) has made it relatively easy. Not the cheapest on the market, but very robust. I would imagine cheaper varieties would maybe bend over on the top edge when hitting with the wood and mallet method of installing. These are perfect. I am going to get the flexible edging for the rest of the lawn. Defiantly would recommend.
