I have had this style of buckle in Boy Scouts and the Navy. While I don't expect it to last forever, I hope the fabric part of the belt holds up for a long time. The buckle will probably last forever. I've been very happy with other Dickies products I own. Be aware of the 40mm width of this belt, as I have a few pair of pants that the belt will not fit because the belt loops on the pants can't accommodate a belt that wide. Also, my waist size is on the high side of 38, and this belt adjusts and fits fine. It looks like it would fit up to maybe size 42 at the very most.
