Filters are still bad. *by A***U on Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2018* Updated: The fountain was fixed after I contacted the seller. The seller was fast in responding and patient in helping. The fountain’s faliure (probably the noise too) was due the blockage of the pump. I leanrt that the pump can actually be opened and cleaned, and the seller have a specific video procedure for this. HOWEVER, I still need to give it a two star because the filter were still useless. My cat is an indoor cat; I also use filtered water for my cat; I now change the water and clean the fountain about every 3-4 days. But the filter still turned yellow and the water was turbid for the second round of usage. So the filter last at most a little over a week, which is still way below the 40 days they advertised. I posted along, the picture of the filter after 10 days of usage, and the turbid water vs the newly changed water.Original:The fountain just stopped working after close to three months of purchase. The light is still on, but the machine is no longer pumping water. Even before the fountain stopped working, it started making noises in about a month of usage. The filters are completely useless. It takes my cat about a week to drink up the water from the maximum filling point till the lights turn red. And every time I change and refill the water, the remaining water are already turbid (dirty and muddy). I even tried a week without using the filter, the water got to about the same level of turbidity. If the filters were of any use, its life span is no where close to the 40 days as advertised and not even a week. Otherwise I would say the filters are completely useless. ### ⭐⭐ Great. . . while it works *by P***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2019* I ordered a fountain in October 2018. Then, a few months later the pump completely stopped working. After a painful customer service experience where I was continually told to clean the pump and sent a link to a video, I was finally sent a replacement unit in late January 2019. For the record, I cleaned the fountain at least once a week, including the pump.And here it is, July 2019 and the pump has stopped working again. That means two units have quit working well within the warranty period of the originally-purchased unit. Everything was running smoothly one day, and the next it wasn't. I saw a few comments about being unable to find out how to contact BLOOMSPECT. Luckily I still had the email conversation from the last time I needed a replacement. I've asked for a refund. Will update on how the refund goes.As far as the unit itself (while it worked), I was mostly pleased. It was a little difficult to clean because you could not take the pump out of the unit and there are a few nooks and crannies to scrub around. If you order one you should definitely find a brush to fit into the pump and other small components. It was quiet and out of the way. The filters do not last several weeks like I remember reading when I first bought the fountain, so order several when they are in stock on Amazon.Update - I never did receive a refund. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cat loves it *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2018* I've tried a few water fountains and I've found this one to be the least complicated and easiest to clean. Like any fountain though, you have to clean it. I'm sure the filter helps but if you don't clean it at least once every 2 weeks it gets really slimy. You also have to replace the filters on a fairly regular basis so it's a recurring expense. But the benefits are that I can go away for a weekend and not have to worry about my cat dying of thirst. She has a little hesitant about it at first but she quickly adapted and now loves it. It's also quiet, which is another bonus.
