I have to delete the light from my system and re add it so it will work properly. I am not sure what I am going to do with it but it is basically useless to me if I have to constantly set this thing up a few times per month. Edit 11/17/25 Changed to 5 stars. Blink support reached out to me after my 1 star review. They did a lot of digging to find out my issue including sending me a new light and camera which had the same issue. Once they found out what router I am using they had a solution very quickly. I have T mobile home internet and my modem/router/gateway is 2.4ghz and 5ghz and it switches back and forth between the two in order to give you the best speed. This flood light is designed to run on a 2.4ghz network. All I had to do was create a second network for my home using my T mobile app and I set that one to 2.4ghz only. I used this network to migrate all of my Blink devices to. That way everything else in my house can stay on my 2.4ghz/5ghz primary network without being affected and Blink has its very own network to run without conflicts. It has been over a week now and the light works perfectly now. Big shoutout to Blink's incredible customer service! Review: You need a good wifi signal for this to work properly. You need to aim it properly. - My first couple of days I found this product to be less than stellar. I couldn't even capture or refresh the thumbnail in the app. Then I read a review that mentioned you needing a good wifi signal ... which it wasn't getting from outside my house. I had a Netgear WiFi Range Extender - EX2700 in my closet. Once installing it in the window closest to the camera ... all was great. Feeds come in quickly. I could capture and refresh the thumnail. Live feeds are great. Also ... when I first set up the camera, I aimed it directly at the cars in my driveway ... but it wasn't picking up people walking by or cars driving by. I originally bought this wireless floodlight in December of 2024 to light up the side of my house at night that does not have a wired outdoor light. It was great the first couple of months with light working great and it being very bright. Then it stopped working and became a constant issue I have talked with customer support several times trying to find a solution. One of the times in which they sent a replacement which only lasted a week. I got busy and also kind of lazy where I wouldn’t want to have get the ladder out and remove the camera yet again to troubleshoot the known issue. I did call one more time this past Sunday 9/14/25 to go through the process again. At this point I was annoyed and I’m sure the representative could tell it. We removed the camera from the system to re add it once again to get it to work and call back if it stopped working. In which this time it only lasted an hour. I called back tonight 9/16/25 to explain the issue and was instructed to do that same process again, he stated that the batteries were low. With him also stating the batteries last two years after I asked. They lasted less than a month. I’m at the point of removing the light and not using it anymore, because it’s too late to get any money back from this. I say all of this to say just to say save your money, this product will just make your blood pressure go up.
