I was using this on my husband for an antibacterial spray. It worked great on my dogs cut- it is antibacterial and I made sure she did not lick it. She is 87#. I would make sure your dog does not ingest it. I would ask your vet for sure. My Dr said it produces a film and you can spray it on 3-4 times a day and he recommended it for patients with thin skin as it produces a thin protective barrier.
