It is approved according to the new European standard in force UN R129, mandatory since September 1, 2023. This new safety standard is stricter, rear-facing is mandatory up to a minimum of 15 months, the car seats are tested for side impacts . The car seat is installed with isofix fixings and the top tether for faster, simpler and above all safer installation. The car seat can be rotated 360° only when facing rearward. It can be used rearward facing from 40 to 105 cm (around 4 years old, traveling rearward facing is 5 times safer) and facing forward from 76 cm. It is equipped with a 5-point harness as well as removable reducers. Thanks to the double protection against side impacts, with integrated head protection, your child will be safe and protected in the event of side impacts. The buckle is really fiddly though - three pieces, two of which have to be carefully held together in perfect alignment with one hand while plugging into the third piece; they don't hold together in any way, they just have to be held in exactly the right position and slotted "as one" into the third piece. It gets easier with practice, but we almost gave up.
