There were several vendors giving out free samples. It was quite a shocker. It's analogous to drinking fat free milk for 20 years, and then consuming a glass of whole milk. Boom! Moving forward, I like adding this syrup to BBQ Sauce, mixed drinks, breakfast sausages, etc. I've read other reviews which claim that the flavor is artificial, i.e. someone inundated this syrup with liquid smoke. I can neither prove, nor disprove that claim. All I know is that it's extremely bold and smoky (ahumado en Español), and another flavor to incorporate into my culinary palette. Finally, it's much cheaper than other brands; it's a specialty item, so paying more is expected. However, I do not want to pay over $20.00.
