This black calligraphy marker makes beautiful writing easy. It has an extra fine nib (1.3) that gives sharp definition to the letter forms and flows easily, and will meet the needs of Expert calligraphers and beginners alike. Acme AP non-toxic. Improved ink flow. Acid free.

Review: Great pen for calligraphy needs, but not really the best option for other uses. - Quite pigmented. A hard, flat, felt tip. Oblong shaped. Provides a crisp line. Works well enough for adding definition to my watercolor paintings, as a last step. Not waterproof, but is acid free. I paid $7.00. Too much for what it ends up doing for me (same as any felt pen), but I am glad I tried the brand, just for the heck of it. I won't be buying again though because it doesn't meet all the desired attributes of a black marker and how I would really use one. Just too expensive.

I logged onto Nostalgic Impressions to re-order and was unable to find them on their site so I did a quick search for "Calligraphy marker" and here they are! One thing I'd like differently on the actual instrument is the writing on the side, they all have the nib size, such as "2.0" or "1.x", however because the nib is not interchangeable, after writing with them for years, the definition on the side has worn off so I'm unsure which size it was that I prefer so I'm reordering this "Elegant Writer" in various sizes, again.

Quite pigmented. A hard, flat, felt tip. Oblong shaped. Provides a crisp line. Works well enough for adding definition to my watercolor paintings, as a last step. Not waterproof, but is acid free. I like these for the calligraphy I sometimes do. They are also great for sketching; adding water to those sketches has a painterly quality I am sometimes looking for.
