Shown here in the 7 ft round size, it measures 7 ft in diameter (84 in / 213 cm) and has a 3/8 in pile. A basket-weave texture gives the surface a woven, natural look with quiet depth. This colorway keeps the whole design in pink. Construction: hand-tufted in India from polyester on a cotton with latex foundation, 3/8 in pile height. Hand-Tufted means yarn punched by hand through a canvas back, then bonded to a cloth backing, so a dense, plush pile with handmade texture at a fraction of a hand-knotted price. Polyester takes dye deeply for saturated, fade-resistant color and feels soft underfoot; heavy furniture can leave impressions that lift with a soft brush. Size and placement: a 7 ft round sits under a 48 in round table with chairs pulled out. Use SAFAVIEH rug pad PAD121-8R underneath to stop creep, protect the floor and add cushion. Rooms: bedroom, kitchen, living room, home office, entryway. Whether you are searching for a 7 ft round rug, a polyester rug, a boho basketweave rug or a pink area rug, this design answers all of them in one piece. SAFAVIEH began in 1914 as curators of antique rugs, opened its first Madison Avenue showroom in 1978, and today designs and makes rugs, furniture, lighting and decor across three continents from its New York home. ## Features - DESIGN: A basket-weave texture gives the surface a woven, natural look with quiet depth. This colorway keeps the whole design in pink. Screens and daylight each render the tone slightly differently - MADE: Hand-Tufted in India from polyester, 3/8 in low pile. A low pile round rug that lies flat under furniture and lets chairs slide. Polyester takes dye deeply for saturated, fade-resistant color and feels soft underfoot - LIVES WITH: Built for busy living rooms, bedrooms and family rooms - kids and pets included. Little to no shedding. Rotate it twice a year so sun and traffic wear evenly - FITS: A 7 ft round sits under a 48 in round table with chairs pulled out. Pair it with SAFAVIEH rug pad PAD121-8R for grip and cushion. Pairs with SAFAVIEH furniture, lighting and pillows in the same palette. Also made in 5 Round, 6 Round, 4 Round - CARE: Use suction only - no beater bar - on a low setting. Blot spills promptly; mild soap and water lifts marks - THE SAFAVIEH DIFFERENCE: For over a century, SAFAVIEH has been synonymous with exceptional quality and timeless design, a legacy carried through four generations since 1914. From New York, we offer rugs, furniture, lighting and decor for a space you love ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B09FYBS326 | | Back Material Type | Rubber | | Best Sellers Rank | #318,983 in Home & Kitchen (See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen) #2,634 in Area Rugs | | Brand Name | SAFAVIEH | | Color | Pink | | Construction Type | Handmade | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (220) 4.4 out of 5 stars | | Included Components | Rug | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions L X W | 84"L x 84"W | | Item Shape | Round | | Item Thickness | 1 inches | | Item Type Name | SAH490U-7R | | Item Weight | 24.5 pounds | | Manufacturer | SAFAVIEH | | Material Type | Cotton, Polyester | | Model Name | SAFAVIEH Sahara Collection SAH490U Handmade Boho Tassel Entryway Foyer Living Room Bedroom Kitchen Area Rug 7' x 7' Round Pink | | Number Of Pieces | 1 | | Occasion | Indoor, High Traffic Areas (Living Room, Bedroom) | | Other Special Features Of The Product | Durable | | Pattern | Solid | | Pile Height | Medium Pile | | Product Care Instructions | Vacuum regularly; Spot clean spills immediately; Rotate occasionally for even wear | | Room Type | Bedroom, Dining Room, Living Room | | Rug Form Type | Area Rug | | Size | 7' (Round) | | Style Name | Moroccan | | Theme | Round | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upc | 195058329576 | | Warranty Type | Limited Warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Weave Type | Hand Made | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SAFAVIEH - **Item Weight:** 24.5 pounds - **Material:** Cotton, Polyester - **Size:** 7' (Round) - **Weave Type:** Hand Made ## Images ![SAFAVIEH Sahara Hand-Tufted Round Rug 7 ft, Boho Basketweave Pink SAH490U - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91rK0u2+QTL.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Sahara Hand-Tufted Round Rug 7 ft, Boho Basketweave Pink SAH490U - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1ZyOXQcZwL.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Sahara Hand-Tufted Round Rug 7 ft, Boho Basketweave Pink SAH490U - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81IvoN5DyOL.jpg) ![SAFAVIEH Sahara Hand-Tufted Round Rug 7 ft, Boho Basketweave Pink SAH490U - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91OEvwMsEHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How do I get my rug edges to lie flat?** A: Rugs are rolled or folded for safe transit, so creases and curled edges are to be expected. Lay the rug flat, or reverse-roll and the marks will release within a few days. **Q: Why does my rug look different than the photo?** A: Because the fibers lie in one direction, the rug appears lighter from one end and darker from the other, with the tone shifting as you move around it. Room lighting and screen settings can also affect how the color reads. **Q: Why does my rug shed?** A: A little shedding is normal on a new rug, and it subsides within a few days as the loose fibers work their way out.We suggest vacuuming regularly without a beater bar to help it along. **Q: Why does my rug smell?** A: A light scent is normal after a rug has been rolled and wrapped for shipping. Let air circulate through the room and it will fade within a few days. **Q: How do I clean my rug?** A: Vacuum regularly in the direction of the pile, not against it, and skip the beater bar. Blot spills rather than rubbing them. Natural fiber rugs should be shaken out to release dirt and debris, avoid wet cleaning. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Circle rug with style *by on Reviewed in the United States August 18, 2026* Very nice ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Accent Rug!! *by on Reviewed in the United States April 2, 2025* Ooooo I love this rug!!! So cute. Great thickness and quality. Soft, durable-feeling tassels. Laid flat to the ground as soon as I unrolled it. No weird chemical smells. My tassels actually match the color of the center rug unlike other reviews! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What i wanted *by on Reviewed in the United States June 28, 2026* Adorable --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/556821637-safavieh-sahara-hand-tufted-round-rug-7-ft-boho-basketweave](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/556821637-safavieh-sahara-hand-tufted-round-rug-7-ft-boho-basketweave) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
