Review: The Perfect SPV! - I owned the original Dinky version in the late 1960s, that was a great toy, I loved it! This Corgi version is truly an excellent model and I love it! The two are not the same, the Corgi is smaller and lighter and would not have survived the 'adventures' the Dinky had to. However The Corgi has a much better paint job, it has accurate wheels/tyres (I hated this on the Dinky! I was a very demanding 10 year old!) and it is everything I could wish for, I would not be as happy with a 100% copy of the Dinky now. Then and now I love the SPV design, it's the best hardware Gerry Anderson designed, just perfect! Don't ask me how the missile or door compare, never used either on the Corgi, don't care, I'm not 10 anymore.
