## Description

Decadent Decaf was founded in 2015 by Guy, Richard, Greg and Laura - UK coffee importing & roasting veterans sick of the poor decaf choice that was available and determined to do something about it.
Drinking great tasting coffee is what we know best. Alas, decaffeinated coffee has long been the ugly duckling of the coffee world – uncared for and neglected. Most roasters are not passionate about decaf coffee; perhaps, because they have not encountered good quality decaf green beans?
This might stem from the fact that decaf coffee was traditionally produced by using chemical solvents and the result was weak, insipid or bitter coffee.
As a result of this, decaf coffee was commoditised into a low quality coffee “product”. At the same time, the decaffeination process is expensive and so, to keep the prices down, low quality coffees (often old coffee from past crops) were used.
Fast forward a few decades and it’s all changed.

This has a rich flavour, not bitter and quite smooth. I like the packaging as it keeps it fresh. It’s an everyday coffee, good for coffee breaks with a snack!

Really nice coffee, the only negative is that the bag is ridiculously large. The product image is'nt of the ground, the ground bags are half full, "due to bag size not coffee amount" why the bags aren't the same size as all others I don't know. By the time you get a little way through you putting what feels like your arm in too get coffee out. Another positive is that the bags have seals the only other bags I've known with this are Starbucks so credit for that as all bags should be self sealing. Coffee is lovely and will buy again, just wish the bags were the size they need to be.
