That being said it would be weird if the motor didn’t have an internal heat cutout already integrated. Mine has never over heated running 12 volts over spec. I took a ride in 105* F with a friend and his bike over heated four times and mine didn’t. Both brushed motors, 500 watt motor over volt’ed 12 volts and 350 over volt’ed. you couldn’t touch his and mine was much cooler to the touch. There are a lot of variables though.
