The hardcase seems fairly sturdy - that's where the good news ends. Anyone who buys a guitar pedalboard is going to put pedals on it, that's why they've bought it. When you do that the finished pedalboard barely fits back in the case - mine is a super simple board, but it's extremely difficult to get the lid shut. The case will definitely look shabby in next to no time. I put a Voodoo Lab power supply underneath and it fits in perfectly using mounts. Its definitely heavy once your board is complete but its worth putting in the extra money to have a nice case.
