The tray in which you plant seeds has holes to drain water. There is another green tray that can be used to catch the drained water and also as watering tray for roots. I fill it up with water so that roots stay hydrated. Then there is a white lid to close the tray. The only drawback is that the holes are big and seeds fall. You need to place either a paper towel or use cocoapeat as medium to plant the seeds.
