It is not too heavy, which makes it great for warmer days in the spring and fall, and it has some flexibility so they stay comfortable during recess and throughout the school day. The color has stayed true even after many washes, which I really appreciate. The sizing is also accurate. My sons are twins with slender, athletic builds, and these fit them very well. I usually order a size up to allow for growth, and there is a small amount of shrinking after washing, but not enough to be an issue. The adjustable waistband is also a great feature and helps get the right fit. Overall, these shorts are durable, comfortable, and a great value compared to other brands we have tried.
