Gramp’s house has two standard steps inside (15” total rise) and these 4 ft ramps are easy to put in place. The incline is a bit steep, so not something you’d want to navigate if you are maneuvering the wheel chair yourself; buy the 6 ft or 8ft ones. I measured the distance between the centers of the wheels and put blue tape on the carpet so the ramps can be easily placed then set aside when not in use (they weigh very little) and granny can then navigate the stairs without tripping on them. Bottom line is that they would work really well for a single step, 2 steps needs someone with a little strength to push the wheel chair and 3 steps would definitely need a 6ft or 8ft ramp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product design *by V***R on 25 August 2025* Excellent wheelchair ramp- versatile and great for facilitating easy movement over steps ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really awesome for getting wheelchair in and out of back of our Volkswagen Golf *by M***N on 10 September 2024* We ordered these (first time using ramps like this) to put in the back of our Volkswagen Golf so I can push my travel power chair up and down the ramp into the trunk. They have worked GREAT so far. No complaints at all. We weren’t 100% sure if the length would be too long or too short from the ground to the trunk, but the length is perfect! The adjustability makes it really convenient too. Most normal parking lots of plenty of space for me to get my chair up and down the ramps. They are not too heavy for what they are (but very sturdy). I usually slide them in and out of the back so I don’t have to fully lift them. But they can be lifted and carried- they have handles on each ramp. Definitely slip resistant with good tread, and I am feeling mobile again with the option to bring my chair places by myself. Highly recommend. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ruedamann 5'L × 8.3" W Adjustable Aluminum Wheelchair Ramp,600lbs Capacity,Portable Telescoping Non-Skid Surface Wheelchair Ramp for Home, Stairs, Steps - Vaunn Medical Adjustable Overbed Bedside Table With Wheels (Hospital And Home Medical Use) - Vive With Handles Medical Nursing Safety Gait Patient Assist Bariatric Pediatric Elderly Handicap Occupational & Physical Therapy Pt Gate Strap Quick Release Metal Buckle Transfer Belt --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/542545018-ruedamann-6-6-7-adjustable-aluminum-wheelchair-ramp-portable-telescoping](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/542545018-ruedamann-6-6-7-adjustable-aluminum-wheelchair-ramp-portable-telescoping) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
