Instructions can be used for both machines. Review: Great buy! Knits fabulously - This was shipped extremely quickly and was packaged very well. Is everything in Japanese? Yes but if you have the internet, which I’m guessing you do since you are shopping on desertcart, you can take a picture of the instructions and Google will translate it for you. I unpacked the machine and set it up and after translating the instructions, I did a test gauge swatch in less than 30 minutes from unpacking to measuring the swatch. It knitted beautifully. Once you have it setup go to YouTube and search for LK-150 tutorials. Before you know it you will have all the knowledge you need to use this knitting machine and will be making beautiful things. Google translate isn’t perfect but it’s good enough to get you started. I have attached a few translated pictures. I did also receive the DVD. At this price, this was an excellent buy. The pictures people uploaded showing it doesn’t work, are actually showing you that they don’t have the tension set correctly. It takes a little experimenting to find the right tension when you first start using any knitting. This is why you always do a test swatch. There are no videos either. Also I never received my shipping and that cost me $41.00 dollars to send it back. I am looking for Amazon to refund me. I will say this was a bad deal all around. **Q: can i use this to make a throw blanket?** A: The width of this machine itself is 29 inch.
