In response to your question, I attempted to charge several devices from the USB-C port on the camera battery. I tried this with a USB-C to Lightning cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable. None of those devices began to charge. I verified that these devices all accepted a charge when plugged into power sources with these same cables. No issues or errors while using in a Sony A7 camera. The battery will charge from the cable provided or in the Sony charger without any issues. I Put it through its paces at temperatures as low as -17C, it comfortabley lasted as long as a Sony original battery.
