Review: Very convenient product for joining wires without damaging - This product is a little expensive but im happy with the simplicity that this product offers when joining two wires together. You simply twist the sides like a bottle cap and the wires are joined and secure. Super reliable and don’t see this slipping Review: Pricey but works very well for those tiny wires. - After attempting to use a different set of single/double wire taps and failing miserably, opted for these mini ones. I have used the regular sized for many years with good results but these are expensive. Anyways, used the mini ones on an LED upgrade project and these worked very well. Was able to tap into thin tail light wires and no issues with a loose connection. Everything works as expected. ## Features - Posi-Tap taps 20-22 ga. / Accessory Lead: 18-24 ga. I have also used them for audio signal from the factory head unit. Both with great results. **Q: Can these be used with 120v AC house current, or low voltage only?** A: Manufacturer literature says rated for up to 600VAC. I’m using them for 120VAC without issue in an appliance. It needs to be stranded wire, should never be covered in a wall, and frankly for home wiring there are easier ways to splice. **Q: The wire that i'm tapping into (that's being poked) is 12 gauge. the wire that i'm stripping to attach to it is 22 gauge. what size/color do i need?** A: I'd go with the bigger size. Because the smaller gauge can be clamped down. It should work for you. Mine did adding 3rd brake light to factory wiring allows you to tap in very well. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very convenient product for joining wires without damaging *by S***R on June 14, 2026* This product is a little expensive but im happy with the simplicity that this product offers when joining two wires together. Everything works as expected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for vehicle taps *by M***N on May 28, 2026* I didn't know these existed, but an AI suggested them for a project I had. The self-tapping nature of the tap spreads the wire strands without cutting them like the Scotchlok connectors can. By piercing the insulation it should self-seal against moisture. They worked perfectly and were easy to install; just be careful to keep everything straight so you don't cross-thread them. ## Frequently Bought Together - Posi-Tap taps 20-22 ga. Pack of 6.
