**Q: Does this convert passive poe to 802.3af. so for example i could use an ip cam with a passive poe switch?**
A: No, it goes the other direction. It converts 802.3af to passive 24v used by older Unifi devices.

**Q: Does this work with uap-ac-lite?**
A: Yup. This converts a 802.3af standard PoE port on a switch to power a 24V passive PoE device like the (older) AC-Lites. Keep in mind Ubiquiti has announced they're moving away from passive PoE in the UniFi line and AC-Lite APs manufactured after September 2016 have added 802.3af compatibility.  So if you're buying a new AC-lite, I'd wait until you get it to see if it's new stock or not.

**Q: Can this be used to extend a run? I'm looking at installing some cameras closer to 200ft from the switch, which is past the 150ft 24v limit.**
A: No this is not extend the length of the cable run. This is to allow a device powered from passive POE to get power from a new switch that is only capable of using 802.3f poe protocol.

**Q: I can use this with my poe switch so I won't fry my Nanostation M5, correct?**
