That creates a huge hassle when trying to play Wii U games since I'm tethered to the charging cord. I bought this replacement to hopefully fix that. It wasn't until I opened up the Gamepad to install this new battery that I saw that the cells inside the original battery had burst and so the plastic case of the OG battery was bulging, though the plastic was unbroken, so no leakage had occurred. This battery lasts forever compared to how long the battery lasted when my Wii U and Gamepad was new.
