## Description

Product description Language, Understanding, Kindness, and Empathy Equips kids (3-12 years old) with the language and understanding of common disabilities and illnesses. Storytelling + Perspective-Taking, Just for Kids! Each card includes definition, prompts, and features the resilience of someone with diverse abilities (ex: ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Diabetes, limb different) health challenges (ex: allergies, cancer, MS, stroke, Epilepsy, Neuromyelitis Optica, Crohn's, Cystic Fibrosis) Written for children ages 4+ Featuring the stories of 60+ real kid, tween, teen, and adult heroes! An Important Card Game to Teach Kids and Adults about Common Disabilities and Illnesses. Dr. Jenny Woo and fellow MS Activist, Julie Stamm created 52 Essential Inclusion Skills, an important card game to teach kids and adults about common disabilities and illnesses. Their mission is to redefine "normal" and amplify respect -- a world where everyone, regardless of ability, is represented and treated with kindness. These cards also feature the real-life stories of 50+ unsung kid- and adult- heroes who live with resilience and courage, despite life's difficulties.” MONTEL WILLIAMS, Celebrity, American TV Talk Show Host, Veteran, Advocate Kid-accessible definitions, thoughtful discussion prompts for everyone! A great way to help people, especially kids, understand concepts related to diverse abilities and illnesses, and how to be more inclusive to everyone in our communities. I work in the DEI space, but sometimes have a hard time with how to translate concepts of inclusion and allyship into language appropriate for my three elementary-school-aged kids. This card deck does just that: has kid-accessible definitions for concepts like "mobility", "chronic", "recovery" and dozens more. It also has question prompts to open up conversation on the concepts. Using a card deck makes it seem more fun to my kids (and less like mom teaching a lesson). The QR codes that link to "Heroes" is a great addition -- we appreciated reading how people would describe their conditions to a child and how they impact their lives. Plus, my kids just think QR codes are cool, so that feature made them really interested in the cards! Lissa Wilson Filose, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion @ Boston Consulting Group An amazing tool to shed light on those who are underrepresented. An amazing, amazing opportunity to shed light on those who are disadvantaged in the disability community. I just love everything about this and I’m excited to see what’s to come. Disability pride for me is having the ability to embrace the almost unbreakable. To overcome every obstacle that is thrown my way, no matter how difficult that may be, no matter what it may look like in my life. But knowing that I may not achieve it today, but I can always conquer it tomorrow. Bianca Johnson, Attorney, T4/T6 Paraplegic/Spinal Cord Injury Teaches the importance of being seen, heard, respected, and valued. As the world is rapidly changing, the need for inclusion is stronger than ever before. I am so proud to be a part of the 52 Essential Inclusion Skills deck to help teach others the importance of being seen, heard, respected and valued. This is such a great learning tool and presented so beautifully. Review: GREAT vetting tool while dating! - Surprisingly, I used these questions to get to know people on dates and the way they responded told me everything I needed to know without me going on a second date. I never had to waste any time. Fantastic tool and conversation starter. It also helped deepen my conversations with my now long term partner for a year and 3 weeks.
Review: Highly recommended for veterans! - I recently purchased the 52 Essential Critical Thinking Cards from Mind Brain Emotion and I must say, I'm extremely impressed. The quality of the cards themselves is top-notch; they are sturdy and the design is visually appealing. But the true value of this product lies in its content. Each card offers a bite-sized critical thinking challenge designed to stimulate various aspects of critical thinking. As someone who has always valued the power of critical thinking, I find these cards to be an excellent resource. Whether you're looking to make better decisions, improve problem-solving skills, or simply stretch your intellectual muscles, this set delivers on all fronts. I particularly appreciate the applicability of these cards for veterans like myself. Transitioning from military to civilian life can be a complex process, that comes with a variety of decisions and emotional hurdles. Many of us veterans are used to high-stakes environments where critical thinking is not just valued but necessary for survival. These cards offer a familiar yet constructive way to engage our minds, helping us adapt our skills to new challenges in civilian life. In summary, the 52 Essential Critical Thinking Cards from Mind Brain Emotion are a valuable resource for anyone looking to boost their critical thinking skills. For veterans, these cards offer a unique blend of benefits, aiding both in the transition to civilian life and in managing stress and emotional well-being. My students value the stimulating conversations generated by the cards. I value the cards so much, that I recently purchased another set for a fellow instructor. Dr. Woo, you are a hero in my book! Thank you for these incredible resources that I now have the privilege to share with other veterans. Professor D

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Ideas on how to use these??**
A: I use them in individual and family sessions, instead of me asking all the questions and being the point of focus. It opens the door to more appropriate discussions and improves communication. I recommend that families use it in the home for a family activity. I teach BHA's and line staff to use it as a small group activity. Since they are also playing cards I teach card games like Gin, Or Gin Rummy, Cribbage and incorporate using the information on the cards when they make points.

**Q: I ordered these and only received the metal box and there are no cars inside. How can I get my money back or the cards?**
A: Send a message to the vendor through Amazon.

**Q: What kind of finish do they have and are they poker or bridge size cards-dimensions please ? thx**
A: The cards have a durable matte finish. They are poker size cards: 2.48"X3.46" (63×88mm).

**Q: For which age range the 52 critical thinking cards are? Thanks**
A: I'd say bright and inquisitive high schoolers and older. Although if a middle schooler shows great interest in the nuances of the exchange of ideas and how it can be distorted, it could be of benefit also.
