Review: Ideal for outdoor saltwater environments - Bought this lantern to use on our lanai in Hawaii as well as for camping trips and emergencies if we lose electrical power in our condo. It has a plastic frame and based with the bulb area completely sealed as well. Perfect for our oceanfront lanai. Loved the fact that that it has solar recharging and a C charging outlet along with a USB port. I can recharge it via a typical wall outlet or my hand held charger, plug my phone in it for recharging or leave it out in the sun for solar charging or plug it in while operating. The three levels of brightness is perfect. The price is just right. I ordered a second lantern to cover other areas of my condo and lanai. When not in use I stow them in my lanai cabinet and I cover it with a small, disposable plastic bag to keep the dust and unnecessary exposure to the salt air when not in use but it could be left outside on the table as well. Perfect lighting for reading, or having meals on the lanai at night. You can also hang this lantern on an extended wall hook on your lanai or when camping. It is not heavy. The price and function makes future replacement cost effective. Highly recommend this item.
