Review: Works great, excellent customer service - Can someone actually say Ruipro's customer service is actually 'too' good?! Read on... I did a lot of research, needing a 50 ft cable for my new home theater after moving into a new house with an existing theater. My previous theater used a 30 ft cable so the length was not a huge issue, but at 50 ft, I knew I'd be safer going with Fiber Optic. Ruipro kept popping up as one of the highest rated. Since I had to fish the cable through a conduit in the ceiling, I also figured a cable rated specifically for that purpose was also in order. Added to all that, I also wanted a cable that was certified, harder to find with Fiber Optic of this length. Ruipro checked all the boxes. So, I ordered it. It is indeed certified, confirmed through the app. The cable arrived in a sturdy box and was well packed within it. Careful instructions made sure to let us know this cable is not bidirectional. While I knew this, it seems some people do not and connect it the wrong way then have issues and blame the cable. One end is for Source (BD player, Firestick, etc.), another for Display such as TV or Projector). Good for Ruipro to spell this out clearly. I tested the cable and all was fine. I fished the cable through the ceiling and set it all up. It worked great. Good picture quality and refresh rate. Works well with my Nakamichi sound bar and Epson LS11000 projector. Blu-rays 1080 and 4K, great! I watched several movies with no issues. Now...a couple of weeks later we decided to stream a movie rather than watch one on Blu-ray. Halfway through the movie, the video blacked out for about 10 seconds while the sound was still going. It did this a few times. My heart sank. My previous home theater had a BenQ projector (my second one) which gave us enough of a hassle for me to change to Epson this time, so now having new issues and knowing it was not the projector I was like, "WHAT NOW?!" A litlle research pointed to the HDMI, which honestly is like a therapist blaming the parents but alas, I reached out to Ruipro not expecting much. I also placed an desertcart replacement order for the cable because unless I had a second cable to test against, I would not be able to tell if indeed it was the cable that was the problem. When something goes awry in a home theater, the process of elimination begins and usually starts with the HDMI cable. Lo and behold, while desertcart was already sending me a replacement, Ruipro contacted me and sent me one too! I tried to tell them not to, but could not stop it because Ruipro was THAT fast! Ruipro asked me to send the 'defective' one back for testing, which I would do. So, I got desertcart's replacement cable and tested it out. The streaming video still blacked out once in a while. Ugh. Well, at least now I knew it was not the cable. Then the Ruipro cable arrived. Now I had THREE cables sitting here. Guess what ended up being the issue? The desertcart Firestick! More research led me to test the Firestick (reboot, change HDMI ports, etc.) and then buy a new one. The new one worked with no issues and now streaming is perfectly fine. Apparently, this loss of video while audio still runs is a known Firestick issue, even though until now I never experienced it (I own two...well, three now). Good to know it is not always the parents...er...cable's fault. Thankfully, it was not the sound bar or projector, which would have been a nightmare, but it would have also made no sense since Blu-rays worked just fine. Why would streaming be the issue? Duh...it was the Firestick.... Back to Ruipro. I wrote back to Thomas at their customer service to explain it all and asked them how to return the one they sent me, which was unopened, so they could sell it. While I need to send back the desertcart replacement so as not to get charged for it, Ruipro told me to keep theirs! Wow. Bottom line: it is not always the HDMI cable. Also, and more importantly, Ruipro's customer service is fantastic. They go above and beyond, stand behind their product and care about the customer...these days, a miracle. So, they now have a lifetime customer in me, because I know should I ever have an HDMI cable issue, they'll stand behind it. Of course, don't expect you'll get a free cable from them just by yelling 'defective,' as my issue was a complicated one, and they WILL want your defective one to test it out (which ultimately helps us all), but the fact that they went above and beyond for me, that spoke volumes! And this tale ended well.
Review: It worked! - Luckily when building the house in 2007 I ran 2" CONDUIT to the tv locations instead of any wires at all. People always talk about running the best wire, or a bunch of different types, or extras if one goes bad, to 'futureproof' their install. In technology and wiring there is no such thing as futureproofing, it's a term thrown around by SALESMEN... CONDUIT is your only chance at installing something that may be as close to futureproof as you can get. Well since then we have gone through variations of HDMI from 1.2 now to 2.1, features like ARC, ATMOS, 4K, and types like Active, Powered, Optical etc. And I have re-ran cables multiple times over the years and now once more. Luckily it is an easy pull with the pull string I leave pre-ran in the conduits each time so that I don't even need a fish tape any more. Well after upgrading the theater room to a 2.1 Receiver, Sony 4K UHD, RTX 4090, and PS5, the display would not do 4k/120hz, took forever to sync and lock onto inputs when set at 4k/30hz, and would sparkle, dropout, fail to handshake, etc... Did a bunch of reading and decided to try an optical cable vs powered or active, and after enough positive reviews on the forums about RUIPRO I tried this cable. As soon as I ran the cable receiver and display Handshaked immediately and then I enabled 4k/120hz and everything just worked! It has been a few weeks and everything is working perfectly except the only small glitch I have seen is a few times the FireStick4k output will turn a solid color usually yellow or green, pressing home a bunch of times or resetting the power to it fixes it, but since this is the only device I have had an issue with and it is few years old I feel it could be either the colorspace setting I have selected in the Firestick menu, it's starting to go bad, maybe overheating as it is plugged directly into the back of the receiver, or just a glitchy compatibility thing between the Firestick and the Receiver. I have not looked too deep into it, I doubt it is the cable since I have seen zero glitches on any other source or resolution since swapping to this cable. My only concern is that the optical conversion circuitry that is built into the heads of these type cables will burnout/die eventually and not last. Since a passive cable is basically good forever unless it gets physically damaged or the wires/connections develop corrosion, these cables now reliant on internal circuitry just by design cannot last forever. But hopefully it will last until another forced upgrade due to technology changes and not failure... We will see. When you are building a home, run CONDUIT not cables people!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent customer service and great cable for HDR and Dolby Vision 4K @60Hz.
*by D***T on November 21, 2025*

I was experiencing some signal lock and delay issues with the first cable 33 feet Ruipro I bought here through Amazon. I tried three different media players, same thing. I don’t have the same issue with my other regular, non-fiber optic, certified HDMI 2.1 cable. I was going to return it to Amazon but decided to reach out to Ruipro’s customer first. I reached out to them by email explaining my issue in detail. Ruipro rushed a new replacement cable with expedited delivery. What a service!! I am happy to report that I have no issues with the new cable. Passed the Dolby Vision test from my receiver and Apple TV 4K. I noticed more color fidelity/pop with this new fiber cable vs the old copper cable, particularly noticeable in HDR and DV material giving it a three-dimensional feel, buy YMMV based on your source and display quality. I use this with a JVC projector in a dedicated bat cave theater. So far so good but I will keep testing for a few days more before running the cable through the attic.
