I bought this 71x142 Inch Oversized Emergency Blanket for use around a dog enclosure. We care for a dog is not ours, but one that was a stray that has adopted us and took over my cats outdoor cage as her house. The 71x142 Inch Oversized Emergency Blanket was huge enough to go completely around a 4' x 3' x 2' cage with extra. The dog is a lot warmer than just using tarps and plus its waterproof so the rain or melting ice/snow won't drip inside like it did with tarps alone. We also added a generous amount of straw as bedding. I know many people who use the 71x142 Inch Oversized Emergency Blanket or regular sized one to make their outdoor pets warmer in the winter.
