These give a bit more peace of mind and that's what the Queen of this castle wants, well all righty then. Maybe a few more seconds to lock and load too, am I right?! Now they do deter but if you have an apartment hollow core cardboard door you may want a few or better a steel door! On a glass door... why? Well the product is quality, so nicely built with extras to custom install really long screws which btw your normal dead bolt locks should already have. Most have stupid tiny 1/2 inch screws, pop they're out in a second, they need 5 or 6 inch screws minimum Please! It takes a couple minutes to replace them. I put one one the front door and back and think I might put one more on the bedroom door too. An ounce of prevention is a pound of cure. I think of all "this type" of deterrences out there, it's the best quality, easily installed, most peace of mind for your money.
