Review: When in doubt size down - Wonderful product! Blocks light very well. Looks nice too. The roll back speed is slow which is good. Relatively easy to install once you get the hang of it. Window frame was almost 58 inches so I ordered both 57 & 58. 58 inches didn’t fit though I’m glad I had the 57 inch ones to install. I really wanted a tight fit because I wanted less light filtering in. It was really tricky for me to find something that had a bracket that would fit 2 inches or less because the window frame was not very deep but this was a perfect fit.

Seems like at least 30% of them fail within a year or two so decided to spend the extra $20 or so on this shade. So far it does not disappoint. Yes, the price is a little more but considering the budget shades at big box stores are not that much cheaper, are flimsier and often fail, I think this product is worth the extra cost. It was easy to install and easy to adjust and we like the auto-up/stop feature. I can't really comment how much it really darkens the room since it's not in our bedroom but it does appear to block the light really well in our bathroom. Hopefully it gives us many years of good performance. When the next budget shade fails in our house, I will buy another one of these.

Just bought a new house, & the last thing I wanted to do is figure out how to hang something on this door. However, installation was super easy once I got over my fear of messing up. This is a metal door, & the fact that I couldn’t use drywall anchors scared me a little bit. I made small pilot holes with a drill & screwed the brackets on in less than 5 minutes! It’s actually a really nice shade for the price point. It blocks out a lot of light & feels substantial. It’s not flimsy at all. Super happy with this purchase! I think I’ll come up with something to paint on it to give it a bit more pizzazz!
