You have to apply it as soon as possible after cutting it to seal up the end grain. If a crack has started before coating the end, that crack will likely continue to propagate. For planks you would still coat the end grain and stack the planks with stickers between them as usual. Keep out of direct sun and allow good air circulation Omer the stack. If a plank has any cracks showing on the end grain after you’ve ripped them, I’d trim off the section with the cracks and the coat the fresh end grain with I think that will work to limit future cracking. **Q: Is it food grade** A: Anchorseal has not been rated for food grade.
