She doesn't really like it. My husband insists its because its too hard. For a dog that age with health complications, I wouldn't recommend it. **Q: is it gentle for my 2 months old teacup Maltese??** A: I would think it’s fine for the little darling. My gorgeous long-haired kitty does not like to be groomed but since she won’t do it herself -lazy thing!- I have to do it for her. This brush is so gentle she’s been very calm now when I brush her. And it does a very nice job detangling and removing the clumps. I really like it. **Q: will this work for rabbits?** A: I’ve not personally tried. However, I think it would work just fine. The bristles are short, and thin. Should be gentle enough. **Q: How is it for a short haired cat?** A: Not sure about a cat. I use it for my long haired Dachshund. & it works great. ## Frequently Bought Together - Glendan Dog Brush & Cat Brush- Slicker Pet Grooming Brush- Shedding Grooming Tools(Blue) - BioSilk for Dogs Silk Therapy Detangling Plus Shine Mist for Dogs | Best Detangling Spray for All Dogs & Puppies for Shiny Coats and Dematting | 8 Oz Bottle (Packaging May Vary),WHITE (Pack of 1) - GUBCUB Pets Grooming Comb Kit for Small Dogs Puppies For Tear Stain Remover, 2-in-1 with Round Teeth to Remove Knots Crust Mucus --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/52918155-glendan-dog-and-cat-brush-slicker-pet-brush-shedding-grooming](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/52918155-glendan-dog-and-cat-brush-slicker-pet-brush-shedding-grooming) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
