No firmware, no tinkering, no updates... just plug them in and set the speed of the XMP profile via BIOS. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look it up or else you'll get less speed than the max. That's the case for every RAM stick so no complaint there. Look up the compatibility with your motherboard before purchasing too. I haven't experienced any stutters or dips in performance. Stress test passed beautifully.
