Out of the box, it's in 'toggle mode' - press to operate the relay, press again to release. But the mode can be changed to 'instantaneous', where the relay is operated while you press the button then releases when you let go. This is the mode you need. Connect COM and NO relay contacts to where the manual press-button would be on the Chamberlain. **Q: No light at all the diagram it comes with don't work need help?** A: I had no problem setting this up. Remember to pair the remotes first. Connect the mains (240v AC) you will hear the relay click on the unit when you press button on a remote. Connecting your light depends on what you want it to do. You need to explain exactly what you need it to do. Basically there are 3 output pins , 1)-common which goes to lamp . 2)- normally open or "NO" 3)-Normally closed or "NC". If you want your light to on all the time and it to turn off when you press your remote then connect NC to power lead to lamp. If you want remote to turn light on when you press it then connect NO to power lead. This is very easy to do and if you need any more info then let me know and I'll try to help.
